It has been great. I think they are doing a great job of balancing the storytelling aspect with action.

Overall yes, but that last episode wasted a lot of time on things that I feel are unimportant in the grand scheme of things.

The Crosby at the conference story line seems like total wasted time.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Squad I did the most tours with were the Excaliburs then The 172nd Rabid Dogs. Still trying to talk Illigaf, Coola, Oldman22, and Joecrow into coming back instead of being boring old farts!

Yes when the wife likes it more than I do it is a problem...

It has zero competition on the boob tube so there's that going for it..

I did.  More than 10 years ago, though.

I read it last year, and it seemed like a difficult read to me.  I don't know why I struggled with it.  I seem to remember it being more of a collection of stories and statistics and lacking "flow."  Which is exactly how I feel about the series so far.  But I am definitely enjoying it.

Agreed, complete crap. That's 2 of 6 that have been a dud.

I’m sorry I thought this show was about airplanes? They over fictionalized a bunch of stuff and the CGI just feels lazier with each episode. The stories they chose to focus on are one dimensional and boring. Who cares that Crosby is cheating on his wife. They glossed over D-Day to boot. The last few episodes are basically dramatized Hogans Hero’s remakes.

Maybe my hopes were too high but this show is mediocre at best. Only one episode left.

I am looking forward to the upcoming documentary on the 100th BG.

Read "A Wing and a Prayer: The "Bloody 100th" Bomb Group of the US Eighth Air Force in Action Over Europe in World War II" by Harry Crosby too. Very good..
