Call HTC and if the name is not active Hitech will release it to you.

In game the oclub has an option to change your name, as well as check availability.

True but the only changes I think you can make to your name in the oclub is between caps and lower case.

I let my nephew fly with my account after his expired. He went in and changed my name in the O club and it told him he couldn't change it back for 30 days. Kinda wish he'd have alerted me to that before hitting ok.....

Nah you can complete change it.  Wipes out perks and ranks.  Can do it every 30 days.

The BEST answer of all is to call HTC at this phone number (817) 431 - 8840 and ask Dale! It's almost scary that the answer is just so easily done.

No.. the best answer is to leave the dude alone and use the in game tool.  Should I call him and ask him how to change countries too?

I should call him when the Bombay doors on my 38 don't open.

Simply put, it's the oclub clearly marked. If you need help beyond that call  the geek skwad.

Yes, just log in and go to O'club and check if the name you desire is available. If yes, just grab it.
