Forming squad to hunt Skyyer and his wingmen
« on: April 16, 2024, 12:12:46 PM »
Still working out the details here.

Must have at least 10/1 K/D.
Must be an accomplished HOer winning at least 70% of HOs.
Must know how to exploit the flight model to win at least 70% of rams.
Must be able to fly at least 40 hours a week.
Must have applicable AH tweak spreadsheet mods to  set plane weight to 0 even with full fuel load and other variables as required.
Must have an ego the size of a bus.
Must have a book of excuses as to why they lost to defend squads honor. (at least 50 different excuses)

I'll post some more when I think of them. (probably when I'm taking a dump)
Please feel free to make suggestions.

Think of it as a country club membership, only $8,000 a year and a $5,000 application fee.

Still a bunch cheaper then: https://www.thedallascc.org/

Must have at least 10/1 K/D.
- Mine is 11 or 12 (if you move the decimal)

Must be an accomplished HOer winning at least 70% of HOs.
- Honestly, I’ll have to work on this one as I’ve spent 20 years trying to avoid them. But manage to at about a 70% or greater rate.

Must know how to exploit the flight model to win at least 70% of rams.
- This is super easy. You simply select a Yak3 for all sorties.

Must be able to fly at least 40 hours a week.
- Does past experience count?

Must have applicable AH tweak spreadsheet mods to  set plane weight to 0 even with full fuel load and other variables as required.
- I’m sure I can outsource this for $3. Right?

Must have an ego the size of a bus.
- Yep. (If a Hot wheels VW bus counts)

Must have a book of excuses as to why they lost to defend squads honor. (at least 50 different excuses)
- Again, I’m short here but I can say “poof” on 200 every time one of them dies if that works?

Meh!
Skyyr is a good pilot. However how he acquires a lot of kills is questionable. Like HOs and stealing kills from a 1-1 fights.

That said, if he didn’t draw so much attention to himself he’d just look like 60% of the players, and 70% of  those who rank high in points. Not really much different than many.

The point system is good for goals and achievements, as long as everyone ays on the same page of honor. They don’t.

HOW players acquire high points tells the bigger story.  Rampant HOs, picking, and kill stealing if already damaged planes. Skyyr did that to me during a 5-10 min fight with Lefty. But many do that. Picked me during a 5-10 fight with someone else, after circling above by 3k advantage during both whole fights.

A great deal of players play like Skyyr, he just puts a spotlight on it. Few are innocent. HOs are rampant across the board, more so from rooks. He’s not new nor special. Skyyr is vulnerable from the 6, like most.

Many play long hours. I used to play 6-12 hrs per day, good reason I hit #1 in AW. I’m lucky to get 6-8 hours in per week now.

People tell me to just ignore the trolls, I flip the table. Don’t give it so much attention.

Almost all of my kills are solo or 1v1. My assists are almost always around 10% (meaning 90% of the time, I'm the player doing almost all the damage). That can't happen if you're constantly shooting planes that others are shooting at too. And if someone's winning 80%+ of their HOs, then they're probably not HOs.

I'm usually alone. You don't get 2k+ kills a month by fighting others for them. This is what a normal sortie looks like for me.
