If you’re ever in the Chicago area there are 2 places that fit like a glove for this crowd, both in Munster, IN. Northwest corner of Indiana, 30 miles south of Chicago.

Bombers BBQ, a very popular restaurant, with killer food. Its interior is decorated based on WWII bombers. AHers would feel right at home.

Just 1 mile down the street is Three Floyds a macro brewing company, who are known and won/win trophies for their beers world wide. They also have great food and live entertainment, usually some form of rock bands.

Then of course the city of Chicago 45 min away. Many concerts , Nascar race and a great lake front. We call Lake Michigan the fresh water ocean. Great boating and fishing charters available. Also there is many air shows in the area. Chicago Air and Water Show,
 show is outstanding.. And then there is McCormick Place, 1 mile from east to west side of building with all kinds of trade shows and conventions, including auto, boat and aviation shows.

Not sure. Haven’t been there in a long while. I avoid crowds like the black plague.
Science and Industry Museum has many aircraft and the U-505 submarine.
