High Noon 24hrs a Day?
« on: June 14, 2024, 12:07:06 PM »
Hitech ..
Is there any possibility that we could at least try a week or two of continuous daylight in the main arena ?
Many of us that are running VR  are having real problems with the low light especially since there is no real gamma adjustment for VR (only monitor) when you combine that with old eyes the light really hinders game play.

I hear others complaining as well and with  the increasing use of VR in AH I am curious as to the percentage of players that would prefer fixed lighting vs the variable we have now....any opinions guys?

Unofficial poll : my vote is Fixed Light

As I'm a vr user I support this...

Don't think I have ever heard anything positive about night in the MA

A good idea to make the main arena more boring than it already is.

Maybe we can just remove the mountains while we are it. Perhaps the sun and moon too. I second thought let’s just play every map in a matte grey box. Sounds fun.

You can literally watch the numbers drop when the arena goes to night.

Technically we dont have "night". We have a "dusk" cycle which jumps to the "dawn" cycle back to day. We skip over night completely.

Maybe Hitech could shorten the dusk and dawn light cycles so it doesnt get as dark, but we still have the sense of time flow in the day.

Yes there is a short point at the darkest point that is pretty good almost like someone turns on the light then within a min or two it goes into dawn...it is the last 15 min of dusk and the first 15 of dawn that are the worst. Your idea would help a lot and still give reasonable lighting variables

When Santa started flying on Christmas Eve, and the arena switched to night for Santa, lots of people asked for night in the arena.  Lots of people liked it and asked for it, and this twilight time is what we got.  It's here because people asked for it, and they asked for it because they liked it.  The twilight time only lasts a short time, then we get daylight again.

Bottom line kids....folks have been pleading with Dale to end the daylight-twilight cycles for years and years. Don't see it happening...the man is RETIRED for the most part.

Almost the same as when a map resets.
Not fond of night, but hopefully it gets me more VR player kills. < whistles innocently>
I get what mongoose said tho.
