This aircraft was photographed at it's base after an incident that resulted in the plane assuming the "Pilots Monument" of standing on it's nose. The camouflage pattern is in the standard grays of RLM 74 and 75. The camouflage colors cover the top of an otherwise yellow cowling. Yellow lower wing tips and a tail band complete the Eastern Front IFF markings. RLM 70 black-green was painted on the cowl gun port fairings. The emblem of IV/JG 51, a well worn boot on a white shield is painted below the canopy sill and the Falcon's head crest of JG 51 is painted on the nose.
