Buckle up
« on: August 05, 2024, 04:02:49 AM »
The bears of last spring and late winter are just a couple months off.

Buffet has been dumping massive amounts, majority Apple but across the board as well.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see trading halted today or this week. Korea’s market has halted sell(s).

Many warned Powell’s negligence and manipulation would lead us here, but it may be even worse compounded by the obvious other and more influential factors. Quote “the Gipper”.  :old:

Wild times and unpleasantness inbound.  :uhoh

BUT but inflation has been conquered and those terrible high interest rates of a whole 5% will be cut and the phony market will soar at first with this great news..

If a market cannot handle 5% interest rates it's not a healthy one...this one has been sick and manipulated since 08 imo

It's a ill wind that profits nobody.

I've waiting over a year for this.  Strangest market I've ever seen in my lifetime.

And there will be great deals left in the rubble when it's over.

And if nothing else, it's going to be fun to watch crypto. ;)

Volatility = Opportunity (for those holding extra cash reserve)

Comes with a warning: “No one can time the market.”

Plus the market was due for a correction after the last month or two.

A rule #14 20% infraction for this post?

How are some others even on this bbs anymore that constantly flame each other? Moreover they’re doing it in the forum that any undecided potential new player would look at and not the O’club.

Auto infraction from mass report?

DOW 40k has been a goal for years now, it just won’t stick. But this not a correction, look at the global market picture… corrections are usually drawn out over weeks, often months. DOW and S&P 5% in two days (Friday and today) Nasdaq 7.5%… Semiconductors corrected last month all by themselves, now they’re getting trashed. Small Caps just started coming back in May, Mid Cap started coming back in late winter…

The “market” optimism has been carried over every finish line by the Magnificent 7, those started showing weakness and EVERYTHING falls apart?  :noid

I hope you’re right, I don’t even want to login to my retail account and look.

A push to panic push the cut the interest button even sooner than September..

Talk about manipulation..it's the rich taking profits today banking on investments much cheaper tomorrow..

After huge swings, it isn't uncommon to see about a 30% retracement before further adjustments.

Markets have been setting records for 5 yrs now. There is a buffer before really bad news. unemployment is still lower that normal. This is what starts inflation to come down. Interest rates will start dropping in Sept. We have a buffer

And that so called buffer gets smaller every time they play this money game..

To call 5% a buffer is getting desperate imo

It should be the bottom where real rates go up from but that goes against their market rinse and repeat manipulation of its actual values..

records aren't always a good thing..
