Yeah, it didn’t look like it had gotten “too” bad compared to what some forecasts had shown (shocker, right?).

I think we got a little extra rain out of it here in North Texas.

In those places, it’s not about the power of the storm but rather how much rain is dumped uphill and how it makes it’s way back to the ocean.

My step son and his family live right in the center of the path of the hurricane just barely on the west side of the eye. He said the kids went out to play in the rain and he spent time smoking some chicken on the grill. They never lost power or had any issues.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Best side of a hurricane to be on.  Most people do not realize how much difference that makes when one of these rolls through.

Where are my Florida peeps at?  Hope they're overhyping this storm like they do most others.

It has delayed our trip to the in-laws..

In the cone either place but would rather be in a brick home than a 40ft 5th wheel..

Hoping to get on the road Friday if it passes as quickly as they say it might

I noticed they had downgraded its potential to a Cat 2 this morning.  Yesterday a few meteorologists were screaming the possibility of a Cat 5.  Definitely wouldn't wanna go through a hurricane in a camper, regardless of strength.

We're supposed to be going to PCB at the end of next week.

I just noticed that.  I guess it depends on which weather station you watch.  I know we are forecasted to get a lot of rain from it....again.
