Thanks for the tweaks! What are your thoughts on the use of G-sync with Free-sync together in Aces High and how these settings affect the in game V-sync setting?

Good point, I'll include this info on the page

Adaptive-Sync was introduced by Nvidia as G-Sync. AMD also added FreeSync to provide Adaptive-Sync for their cards.

Enabling V-Sync could eliminate tearing, but causes increased lag and stutter.

The "Vertical Sync" (V-Sync) setting in Nvidia Control Panel set to "Fast" renders unconstrained almost as fast as V-Sync disabled, except doesn't tear since frames rate above your monitor refresh rate will just drop the extra frames.

G-Sync can eliminate screen tearing and minimize the display stutter and input lag.

Leaving G-Sync on won't cause any harm, running games beyond the maximum refresh rate of your monitor will disable G-Sync, meaning that if you're playing an easier to run game like AH there is likely no benefit to using it.

The GPU settings override the in game V-Sync settings. Unless it gives the "Application controlled" option. My Nvidia 3060ti doesn't

For the record, I put the V-sync to "Fast" which resulted another game to freeze at start. Setting it back to "application controlled" the game started normally.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

Sorry. Only game I play is AH. As stated in first page, if its not broke don’t fix it. Basically my settings are for those struggling. Could be the other game you play may need the brakes of v-sync. I can put a warning on using it. If your FPS is higher than refresh rate you may want to try making them the same. In some systems going over Display refresh rate can produce negative results, but not all. Though I don’t know your specific issue, input is always valuable.

I’m not home near anything to look into it, but I will

I’m running a Dell XPS 8950 w/ nvidia 3060ti

I once fixed a frozen margarita for Bizman with a larger straw. His first sip, he frozen up. After recovering, he (DRUMROLL) took another sip and frozen up again.

No harm done, I just wanted to see if that one improved my frame rate. My current monitor is a 144Hz 1440p one and the GTX1660Ti struggles to get more than some 45 Fps out of that other game. Talk about graphically demanding! Fortunately there's no fast action needed.

I warmly recommend ISLC. My mill was struggling with several servers in IL-2, even it run perfectly with AH and many modern war games my son plays, like WT, Enlisted and Battlefront V.

Since installing ISLC, my frame rate got better and all the stuttering and freezing is history, with max graphic settings.

Reminded me. I have a memory flusher in my game launching software. Going to see if it has the same effect.
