Slid off runway
« on: December 01, 2024, 07:10:06 PM »
At V56 touched down on runway below 100mph gear up in P47M. Slid all the way down runway doing a 360 and shedding wings, instead of slowing I would say it accelerated. This has happened before 2x in tempest. Was using DX11       :bhead :bhead

Use the wheels?

Every video of civil aviation planes landing gear up has them sliding a lot further than they do now in Aces High.

Trees on the runway?

I have not seen a tree on the runway yet. I did see trees after sliding off the end of runway

still a problem and not only at vbases.  I went in for a 100mph belly landing in open terrain and it accelerated me over 200mph into the forest.....

I'm guessing you can still get slung off the back of the carrier when backing up too then?

Curious to see a film of this.

In some films I've seen GVs go below terrain surface. It's not like that in game, but in films.
Now I'm wondering if that funk effects the friction that would slow a plane down. Or if it's just an illusion in films
