I had two P47s with altitude on me run a sector to the ack at a base....while flying my brew..

It happen to me many times as well, and it's OK while I learn some defensive moves...very rare cases, I'm able to escape

I hardly ever get shot down...... trees get me way before that can happen. Why just the other day I dodged a tree and hit a sign that said, "Left Turn On Red Only".

There are few that have the ability to admit that they made the mistake that got them shot down.  This tends to express itself in hilarious and sometimes nasty ways on 200 and via PM's.  Carry on and have fun!  :aok

Exactly. I take the view every time I get shot down I made a mistake but that's ok.  :aok

Cmon fellas work on your skills and your Yank can do spirit and cut out all the whingeing about other players. They say women are that word that rhymes with itchy but OMG fellas have a word with yourselves  :D

So much crying and complaining !!  I am sure the good old USA was not built on that was it  :headscratch:

No built on "can do" and "Prevail irrespective". If the pioneers were like some on here they would still be argueing on Plymouth Dock about handbags  :old:

OMG The Japanese ganged us at Pearl Harbour I am cancelling my subscription to being an American and crying about it on 200 and in the forum.

Can we try to be a bit more positive and take responsibility for our own lack of skills and SA rather then crying about it and abbusing our chums  :pray :pray :pray :pray :pray

It maybe makes for a better place to play and brings new friends into the game. Maybe leave your nastiness somewhere else  :old:

If someone bursts your bubble it does not make them automaticly a complete A   HOLE     and worse than Hitler   :D

The very last time I was shot down, I did this very thing. So the turkey I fixed for this past Thanksgiving, I added some Italian spice that I make to the rub. It turned out great. So I highly recommend doing what Yarbles suggests......

"Merry Christmas, you dirty animals".

You sound like you have become cynical  :frown:

I remember you training people in ACM very effectively and having a real passion for this. I learned allot and not just about flying. I used to get up early on Sunday morning to attend your classes. If not here I hope you have another outlet to share your obvious talents and abilities with others  :aok

People are frustrating but don't give up on us and remember there is no fun without us

Merry Xmas to you

You are a top chap  :aok :aok :aok :aok :aok

Back in the day top sticks like Nrshida, Bruv 119 and Pervert among others for the love it would take people to the TA and help people learn the skills and I was a slow learner but won a couple of KOTH'S. I think they did it for the love of what we have which is a very very credible flight model and we still have it  :aok :aok :aok :aok :aok

I don't know for how long but I guess that will depend on whether we promote it or complain about it and our fellow players until it becomes so toxic no one plays anymore.

A lot of variables here with the HO whining.  If it's somewhat of a fair engagement, say 1 vs 4 or 2 vs 6, I'm usually guns cold.  If I'm flying into a herd of 15 high alt runners, don't be surprised if you come diving for a pick that I turn into you and take a shot.

My kind of rule of thumb, two vs 1 I have a shot to outfly them and get a clean kill.

Unfortunately for some people, their first resort is to HO regardless.

I didn't like to see people struggling and becoming miserable and self-critical and so where I could help, I did. Once another player bought me a whole year's subscription to say thanks. Imagine that!

Alas no, that path was also denied as part of my personal purgatory.

I don't think I ever really broke into the first division. There was a time I was a lot of trouble in a Ki-84. But I was only doing one narrow band on the ACM spectrum and many many thousands of hours in that airframe really.

I was a slow learner

You don't even know the punchline!  :rofl  I have learning disabilities to the extent I really struggle with a basic EM-diagram. Despite this in real life I managed to attain four University degrees. One of those with quite a lot of calculus in it. I am thus the scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz. Or is it Zardoz. Everything I knew in AH as in real-life is basically self-taught. The only person to really help me in any meaningful way was Kazaa: the FPH's FPH. Only recently did I finally understand his stratergy and approach through analysing another which was expensive.

The real horror is: rolling scissors, lag-displacement rolls, one and two-circle fights, flying your plane to 102% of its flight envelope for 80% of the time, post-stall manoeuvring, the finest controllers money can buy, all of the beautiful four-dimensional ACM - you don't need it. None of it. There is a much simpler and un-aesthetic way which will always defeat a practitioner of what amounts to flowery Kung Fu. Sometimes you wish you had never bothered to seek the truth in the first place. Far better to proceed in blissful ignorance and enjoy yourself.

But life is short and there are always beautiful things to see. Indeed, Merry Christmas old friend.

I think you are over simplifying  :D

No seriously you are top quality off the top shelf and that is more than enough any day.  I hope you get involved or also don't get involved. There it is  :aok

I am ambivilant. You don't like the raw red meating gameplay people so enjoy and that makes me wonder how you are constituted. I do like your thinking but I am not sure if you are a fellow human being or a scary Alien in out midst who might improve us and we fear change  :uhoh

Excellent, you've just reminded me of a film I often used to watch at Christmastime the original The Day the Earth Stood Still. Nearly forgot about that one. I can cope with aggression and anger no sweat. Used to fight in martial arts tournaments when younger and later took up an obscure form of Iaido. There's an analogy in the HO, over-aggression will get you hurt in the ring. Just as Violator said.
I do not like retrograde, ignoble, weak, self-unregulated dick-moves in-game and in-RL and think it's high time the human race levelled up. It is incumbent on us all from within.  :old:

People love to complain when the stuff they do to others gets done back to them, in RL and in game. It’s justified when I do it but it’s evil and nasty when you do it.
