Before getting on the road to go back to the in laws, saw a clip about a navy jet getting shot down by our own ship surface to air missile...

Did that really happen or would we rather say that than admit one of enemies in the area did it..

I would have thought we had numerous safeguards against such a possibility

The only way heads won't roll is if they can definitively show that the F18's IFF was not operating at the time.
