Game Freezes When Using Voice

I think I know the issue but I’m hoping it’s not something worse. Whenever I press range or T button for voice my game freezes and nobody can hear me. I think I’ve seen this issue pop up here now and then. It’s a pretty good freeze too about 2-3 seconds and my plane moves during the freeze.

There has been one change to my system. I am normally on a Verizon Fios internet connection but will be stuck using a spectrum internet for a few weeks. I am already noticing slower load times for websites or streaming. Hoping things all it is and will be corrected when I’m back my Fios.

Guess I will be quiet for while which I'm sure is ideal for some lol.

From what I remember Skuzzy use to say VOX took up a bunch of bandwidth. When in game bring up the connection page, the blue field with the spiky lines on it. Key up the mic and see if it jumps. You can also use something like "pingplotter" to see what kind of runs you get going to the HTC servers and back.

I know that when I am running the blender in my 38, I have to not key up the mic, maneuver heavily, or turn the lights on. I'll trip a breaker in my plane.

You can skip all that with a reduction gearset and shaft running from the left engine to the blender. I have a set installed in my FM2 and I keep the lights and 8-track going full time with no issues. I'll send the blueprints.

I had a problem with this too and the fix that I found was very bizarre. I found that if I opened the sound selection window in windows and left it open that it would work properly and the freezing went away. I have no idea why this worked but it did.

Where did you get the 8track. I been thinking of upgrading. My albums are getting a little scratched up.

If you’re running nVidia, try disabling digital audio. Sound is sent to two paths when using it. You won’t even notice its disabled. It may or may not solve the problem, but I find no valid need for the extra signal path.  It might come in handy for surround sound, maybe. Nvidia needs to stay in their own lane. This COULD be adding latency.

If its a sudden change, verify windows settings.

If all else fails see what dxdiag shows. But MS geared this down on windows 11.

I don’t use it for other things than listening to videos. I don’t play other games with comms.

I’m a billion percent certain it’s the crappy internet. Where do I check the connection AH, been a while?

Are you getting near the speeds you are paying for?

If not begin there with a service call

Reboot the modem and router might be a thing to try

Symptoms were microfreezes with entire game, and first 2 seconds of vox audio not sending.
Tested using a 5 count (1,2,3,4,5) and not hearing numbers (1,2) and tuning vox radio 5 to my GAMEID.
I switched to using a usb soundcard and any 3.5mm plug headset. 
No more issues.

Unfortunately, my problem turned out to be myself. I’m almost embarrassed to tell you all what it was. It was a simple mouse click and it was aces high in game related. If anyone figures it out, I’ll give you a cookie and a big ole bashful
