30mm
« on: February 20, 2025, 11:17:09 PM »
I've been having issues all night watching 30mm hits not explode.

It hits, shows a small flash like a 30cal-50cal sprite and no larger 30mm like explosion.

I've noticed some of mine doing that in the dueling arena a couple days ago also.  No big flash but the plane breaks in half.

Just figured I was missing as usual..

Some nites a hit and the plane explodes, other nights it flies on..take that as a rubber bullet event

I'm also noticing this with 50 cals too.  Won't see final hit sprites that tear a wing off.  Mostly in bomber guns.

Glad I'm not the only one whose going mad with 30s and what feels like rubber bullets sometimes in general. I've been shocked that 30s have missed or seemingly did nothing. I've got a good film I'll post tomorrow of a close up 109 crossing shot that I cannot believe a 30 missed.

Those of us in Tanks are having a similar problem. Shots going through an enemy tank and not pinging or exploding, very frustrating.

This is also seen when shooting at ships from other ship guns at certain angles.

Thought that was just me seeing wrong on the tanks.

Yesterday, I saw Taco running back to base in his M18 smoking.  But no tank, just very fast smoke across wide open ground.

I am using DX11 version.  What version are y'all using?

Randy,  I'm not using VR so I use DX9 to not get stutters.  I have seen the sprite from a 37mm on a plane and the plane is unaffected also.

If the tank was near strats, there are places where my tank was under the surface of the ground yesterday.

So, if you saw this, know it’s only for a little bit and seems to offer no advantage other than hiding since firing from under ground does not end well for the one firing the gun.
