Hold in the autos ATLEAST 10 seconds and Pickle .
 ALSO learn torp speeds ….Go Up...Drop Torps …Come around and WATCH them run in offline or training arena .
 Torping looks complicated but it really isn't

200-200= Speed -Altitude AXIS -FAST
250-200= Speed -Altitude  ALLIED-SLOW
Can drop from higher But Good Luck and I don't recall the speed.

Easiest way to learn torpedo speeds is to launch them, go to #3 gun and watch them as you move the boat speed to match them.   

Hint........it's 40.
