It's been around 15 years ago when I've done similar. Also around that time, I was waiting for my old squad to finish up a take as I was gooning some troops in close. A desperate set of low-flying B17's passed over me, guns blazing at me as I flew my C47 along a mountain side waiting to bank a right turn into town.

I was watching where I was going. Bombers smashed into the mountainside. 

The only time since I started playing in '04 when I landed three kills in a C47. Good piloting.

You know I cannot think of a time that a harsh word has been spoken over a game play error by a player..  That is pretty impressive.

I remember my very first bomber mission with the late ET so many years ago.  The missions were quite large then.   I was assigned a hanger and missed it.  I told ET I had missed my hanger.  ET said," Don't worry.  You will get it next time."  Those simple, kind words have stuck with me from that day forward.

Only time I ever rage quit was when Fyntime had de-acked and white flagged one of those super bases. The spawn was camped and the place was crawling with fighters. I somehow snuck a goon right off town and released troops. The last 2 were about to go in and BAM...lost connection. Somehow it does not read as a capture as the base was not ours when I got to log back in. I think troops die if you get disconnected FYI,.

I have never missed a hanger. I run into all of them I am supposed to bomb.
