I’m not seeing many bees flying around so far this year so please keep these important critters in mind when trying to kill everything.

I don't even use weed and feed. I put down triple 13 in the spring and again in the late fall. It makes everything grow. The grass gets so thick after about two mowings, the weeds are gone.
Triple 13 is also known as 13-13-13. Equal parts nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.

For weeds and grass kill... Compare N Save Concentrate works well on fence line and gardens. Careful using anything in your mulch. If any is active when you use it for planting, it may kill the plant.

If you have a sprayer and can do it yourself I use Triplet on the lawn to kill dandelions, crabgrass, and the white clover. I buy a 2.5 gallon jug and put 1 gallon mixed into 60 gallons of water for 2 acres, 2 qts to the acre. Costs $45 and the time to do it, I’m in MI about straight east of you so similar area.

You’d be amazed at what crossing cutting your lawn, without picking up clippings, does for it.

First cut go one direction, do not pick up clippings
Second cut go 90 degrees against the first cut direction. Ya gotta make two passes.

On second cut those clippings get shredded and drop to the base of the plant/ground, rebuilding a very good soil.

After about a 3-5 mowings you’ll notice a difference that resembles carpet, the new soil will even smell healthy. Many weeds grow where grass can’t, usually dead soil, healthier grass less weeds

Side acre lot to fix it I let the existing grass seensgrow and seed itself before slowly cutting it down to size. If that tyoe of grass grows there thats the seed I want.

I learned this in my dads yard his/our yard in Home & Garden magazine in the early 80s

Edit: do not yse lief blowers in your lawn, use a rake. You’re blowing away nutrients/top soil

The fruit/berry trees and bushes here get alot more attention from bees than the weeds in my yard and garden beds do....

I see the no mow may folks showing up.  This was a question regarding keeping my property looking nice.  Not saving the dandelions.

Trying some Gordon's 15-0-0 liquid weed and feed for my lawn and Roundup ground clear for the mulch and rock gardens.

I have a Fimco tow behind sprayer for the lawn and a handheld pump for the groundclear.

kill dandelions, crabgrass, and the white clover

Funny! Here they sell white clover seeds for a nice lawn as it stands both occasional dryness and tramping. Plus it blossoms most of the summer nourishing bees. Fruit/berry trees and bushes only blossom for a week in late spring, too late for the bumble bee queens.

But now living in a basically HOA free subdivision,  leaving up to the landowners/ renters usually results in a very raw looking neighborhood...as most don't understand the relationship between their mower, their watering hose and just weeds without any form of a real grass lawn..

Lawns in Florida separate real nice/expensive neighborhoods from the rest..nothing more impressive than a very thick and healthy st. Augustine lawn..nor expensive lol

Yup, I live in a decent neighborhood in Florida where I pay $12 a month for HOA. Its a night and day difference between the neighborhood right behind mine that's not really a neighborhood and has no HOA. Some people just don't give a crap and it looks like garbage.

Local collage or growers association are a great resource. Here in Palm Beach co. we have Mounts botanical gardens and S FL. tropical fruit growers. Spring and fall they have a show at the fair grounds.
