From what you have posted I dont see any red flags.

Go ahead and DownLoad a fresh install of the game and install it over the one you already have.

Before you do that, just to be safe, double click on the folder icon on the start bar, goto C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High III and scroll down to the "settings" folder. Right click on it and click copy/ Then right click on the desktop, and click paste. This will save all of your setting  just incase it messes them up....which it shouldnt, but better to be safe.

ok  i posted another part of the dxdiag, installed the game again.  today it froze up 3 times but the alt-f4 got me out.

Hope someone smarter than me can figure it out.

Nothing jumps out at me as "wrong". You meet the recommended requirements no problem.

The only other thing that might be an issue is heat. Check to see if all of your fans are running (one in the powersupply, one on the CPU cooler, and atleast 1 or 2 in the cabinet to move air). Check that all the vents are clear and the fins on the CPU heatsink are clear. Dust, pet dander, smoking all clog up computer if they are not cleaned out now and then.

A potential culprit can be the Nvidia sound. Unless you have and use the speakers in your monitor, disable the Nvidia sound device in the Device Manager and uninstall the drivers via Apps and Features. And when updating the Nvidia drivers, do a custom install and uncheck the sound.

That's quite far fetched but they've been known to cause issues. The worst problems I've heard of, though, have been that the sound has been assigned to non-existent monitor speakers, not freezes. Just a few mouse clicks would fix that. Freezing doesn't sound logical in that context.

What puzzles me even more is that the game itself seems to run but you can't interact. Sounds like a USB brownout, i.e. your USB ports not being able to power all the connected devices. Checking the power consumption of the CH Fighterstick revealed that it uses 2.5W which is how much a USB2 port can deliver. Knowing that there's less actual USB ports than physical connectors tells that at least adjacent ones share the resources. Front panel connectors can even be paired with some of the back panel ones. So at least don't connect anything into the USB port adjacent to your stick. The pedals seem to be less thirsty.

Keyboards and mice usually don't require much power but the RGB illuminated ones can be surprisingly juice thirsty, even more than the Fighterstick. If possible, connect the most thirsty devices into separate USB 3 ports, often having a blue tongue instead of black inside the connector.

Have you updated GPU drivers lately?  If you have try going back to a driver from last year around September.  Make sure you select Custom, and do not select Nividia Game Experience.  Select Clean install.

Well its been a month and the problem seems to have went away.  I replaced a 4 into 1 usb hub with an old powered 4 into 1 usb hub with 1 bad port. plugged the stick, keyboard and mouse into it. No problems since. the usb brownout suggestion looks like a winner so far.

Yesterday I had a customer whose external disks suddenly didn't show in the Explorer. It appeared that they were connected to a USB hub. Long story short, it appeared that the power cord had dropped off, easy fix.

While explaining the issue to the customer I found USBDeview by Nirsoft: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html. The list of commands is exhausting but the basic view already showed all USB devices and their nominal power usage. The two externals and the screen calibrating device together could use almost 1.9 amperes. Knowing that USB-2 can provide 0.5A and USB-3 0.9A and even the dedicated power output version of USB-3 only gives 1.5A it was easy enough to explain that splitting a single USB port simply wasn't up to the task without the power cable. USB-C connectors can provide more power depending on the type. Oh, and yes, I simplified the numbering.

Another important thing to know about USB connectors on a PC is that they aren't individual. Obviously, if there's both USB-2 and USB-3 the two don't share the same resources. But where there's two similar ports side by side, they most likely are just splitted. Front panel USB connectors also usually share the resources with certain ports on the rear panel.

In my earlier post I mentioned illuminated keyboards. A few days ago there was one that had two USB plugs. It took quite a while until it woke up so that the customer could enter his pin code. Needless to say that the two plugs were in adjacent connectors. When he swapped one plug vertically to another connector the keyboard could immediately be used.
