Film request from Finetime

Hey Finetime,

Damn I should have just gone and landed last night with my 5 kills and no cannons left  . Had I known it was you.... though I was surprised you drilled me that hard from that angle as normally most bomber gunners have a really tough time with over the top shooting.

Curious if you by chance had the film on that? I'd like to study that and perhaps it would help the community understand how you aim so well?

He’s a monster. I fly with his crew a lot. Dude has his ducks in a row. All LCA are very skilled.

Yeah, I attack a lot of bombers and no one even comes close to aiming like that, maybe 27th. I'd just be interested in seeing the AH film. I probably should have came at a steeper angle, but not sure if it even would have mattered, he gobbled me before I got a solution 400 out and inverted

I'm not speaking for him,...but...just sayin...

Hmmm, Zoom may help in a straight HO to gun shot, but it can throw you off leading the target. Hey, ya never know, some people get good at weird things.

A mouse is more precise than a stick. Especially if you disable "Enhanced pointer precision" in Windows.  It works the opposite in situations like games. Much smoother with it disabled. There's just too much going on in a stick.

You're only as good as you practice. Not many are going to just jump in the seat and rattle off kills like that.

Been coming to bbs since 2011 and I think this is the first time ive ever come to Films and Screenshots 

I do not have the film. I do not have auto record enabled if thats even a thing. Ive pressed the keys when im feeling dialed in or when i felt i needed to. Apologies

There is no secret to what I do. It is the culmination of tens of thousands of engagements worth of experince. I would rather not present an easy target when flying bombers. Im not just good in the guns. The evasive maneuvers I take, in concert with the gunning, is what leads to the kills i score when defending my bombers. Its a lot of spray and pray, bring the tracer fire to the target, and micro-movements with the mouse.

The over the top pass is the hardest to defend. The only way to defend against it is nose down and try to point the tail of the plane as close to 45° up so that the tail gun has enough coverage for long enough through the enemies pass. If i dont get that tail up i dont hit well. Then its all about lead. With those over the top shots im using F3 mode from the top turret and spraying with lots of lead. You do this stuff as long as i have and you anticipate the shot. Law of averages says im gonna hit if im within the ball park and started firing early enough.

The best way to get better in guns is to sacrifice a tour or two and fly reckless in american heavy bombers. There is no secret to what I do. There is no cheat code. I figured it out years ago and keep getting better over time.
