Fort Hood is back to being Fort Hood after name change last administration. It was changed from Ft. Hood for woke reasons. It was named after a confederate General but was manned by Yankee troops after the Civil War. I served there by attending an NCO school in 67 were I decided it would be best to part ways with Army as soon as possible.  My son was processing out to retire when he ran into my MP grandson there for training. So at least three generations of my family have served there and it will always remain Fort Hood to me.
