Well, the agreement they want now is what they tore up. It’s hard for me to imagine how that didn’t set this in motion. It was predictable at that point, it was just up to time. IMO.

Hopefully this will rid the current Iran regime. This should have been done in the 80s. Or when the deal was torn up, not doing it just encouraged this to peak.

Either way, I didn’t lose sleep. It is what it is. Maybe for the better.

Doesn't look like much of a war so far.

If they had just hit some facilities that's one thing.

Imagine if Iran snuck bombed the US and took out the Joint Chiefs of Staff?

My point was that it is very one sided. I don't think that will change.

From what I've read Iranians in general are very unhappy with their government. They may never get a better opportunity for an uprising.

I believe that is the hope..another Syria where leadership just walks out and whatever walks in and takes over..

Or it's a prelude to the next 911ish moment  to make war for another 20 years for nothing ...

Iran would cease to exist 18 minutes later... You can be sure that the US has pre-targeted ICBMs, land based and submarine based. Moreover, Israel, the #4 nuclear power on earth, estimated to have twice the warheads of Britain and France combined, has nukes targeted. Iran gave everyone trying to convince them to abandon nukes, the middle finger. They promised to use nuclear weapons to destroy Israel. As it is Iran will be teetering on revolution... Iranians want to be part of the world, not isolated by the world. Not persecuted by their extremist Islamic government.

Iran needs to be dealt with. So many middle eastern countries are finally starting to come out of the middle ages and then you have Iran... with the Devil on the flag... while Isreal may have some other issues we need to straighten out. They still are far better than Islamic theocratic regimes.

I'm no fan of Iran.  I'm just cautioning everyone to understand this is above the normal tit-for-tat posturing.

I'd imagine they'd take it asymmetrical.

Assassinations, terrorist attacks, attacks by proxies, nothing that will be easy to pin directly on them to justify a full response.  They will eventually lose, but it won't be as clean as an invasion of Grenada.

Now where did I see this... can't quite place it ... "no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof".
