Well I do not think HTC will reimplement a more realistic radar anytime soon, but only future will tell.

I'm on your side of the fence on Dar.

However, I think it's to help newer players locate a fight faster. I think we all know this. If yas want new players ya kinda gotta cater to them a bit in the MA. The learning curve is brutal enough all by itself.
Events use Dot dar for that realism you're looking for. That's where it changes from the MA game to a Event sim. I don't take the MA as serious as an event/scenario. SO it's small beans to me.
A lot see the MA as just practice for events, some live and breath by it.....an ant walking wrong triggers complaints

Did you not fly in Mid War prior to it's closure? For my money it had the best plane set matchups. Does anyone have access to that lineup?
