Strike Commander was a fun "game" but there were better "sims" many years before that.

Tornado came out the same year as Strike Commander and was a far superior simulator imo.

No Warcraft or Starcraft?

I think it was for Falcon AT or a version around that time that me and a buddy manufactured a null modem cable to hook our Amigas together so we could gun fight. It was around that time that Flight of the intruder came out and I would ambush his F4 with migs. Fun times.

Talk about memories .... I remember linking up 2 computers by a Null modem cable (Serial Crossover) to play CIV II; This is basically what got me in I.T.

At the 209th Lan Meets when we had server issues a few of us would Lan play Warbirds while we waited. At the time Warbirds could do LAN. I think the box version of AWIII could do LAN and Null Modem and Modem to Modem Dial up.

I did the RTS lan stuff at UC Davis with a bunch of buddies, Mostly Starcraft+Brood Wars.

I Got my kids into LAN games back in the mid to late 2000s and early 2010s. I built every one of my kids an Upper midrange gaming rig.

Unfortunately My youngest was the only one to show any interest in flight sims and even then it was only War Thunder and Ace Combat, if you can call them simulators.

Currently as an Empty Nester, I have 2 Gaming PCs, A gaming Laptop and 2 Streaming PCs in my house all on a 10 gigibit wired and wifi 7 network, So I can still do Lan Games. It's Nice when Friends My Kids and Other Family show up.

4 of my systems can handle AHIII 2 in VR.

Hopefully this summer I can get a few local buddies to play AHIII on one of my systems.
Maybe get some people I actually like to pick up the game.
That and a fix to ENY/Plane-Country Lock outs and I may become a subscriber again ... till.

I had Tornado.  Great game.  I remember it had a very impressive mission planner for the day.

Not nearly as much as you did my Johnson ... Stick that in your ear and hear it.

You have an Issue with me Shane Just put me on ignore.

You're not my mom, you're a little passive-aggressive boi.  If you can't take it, don't try and dish it... oh wait, that's why you don't play any longer, you're one of them checklist guys who could never dish it. :rofl

Or you could put him on ignore. He and one other on ignore totally changed the vibe here for me :)

Done.

I put Shane on ignore when I wrote the nasty that I shouldn't have. It was a low pop shot that I edit out but I acknowledge that I went to far with it.

I put "Baby Jesus Supper Star Savior of Aces High back" on ignore a while ago when he was peddling his used blow up doll.

Kinda interesting we both have the same people on ignore. Wonder how many others do.

Oh for god sakes. Thin skinned today aren't we? It was humor,... much like your own "fecal farming" comments. Shane is right, you like making insulting comments but can't take it in reverse. Whateva ingrate. Here's a clue, leave me the F alone and I won't bite back. I say the doll thing on 200 once in while as a joke, everyone takes it as a joke and laughs and laughs.... since when did you turn fragile?

THE ART OF TROLLING AND FLAMING

If you can't take MORE than you dish out, then sit on the porch with the kittens and don't do it, you guys can't even take equal what you dish out without losing your minds and going int victim mode.

Take note. I don't troll because it's for newbies.

After what I've been through in life,... 50 of you could never break me,.. ever

The F-16 is my favorite jet in the '80s and to the present.  Many here may have read th Wingman series of books.  Do I have to mention a little film called Iron Eagle?

I'm glad there is a F-16 featured game.
