Montis2 not quite ready for prime time

It seems all the flak bases belong to the same team...

I concur. And there are bases (A125) from which you can't up anything (playing as Knight).
Could we rotate to another map as soon as possible please?

The knit FT/TT (small uncapturable airfield A70) only has GVs enabled.  I's assuming same for the other 2 bases (A8/A38)
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.

I was at work at 5AM this morning Joe lol. Talonx sent me a text and when I got off I fixed everything except for 1 item that requires a map update. Hopefully we can get it done tomorrow.

Shane, the problem at A70 and other bases, as well as the Flak bases has been fixed.

A70  still only has GVs enabled (its a small uncapturable airfield icon) that should also have planes enabled for that middle map oasis...

And maybe tone down the overall cloud coverage?

I think there are too many long distance GV spawns, makes it too difficult for brute force captures with the ability to spawn into the town from across the map.  Need to send someone on a long distance joy ride to kill a distant VH or barracks that shouldnt realistically spawn that far to begin with.

Point taken, for me the most difficult part of the map design is the gv spawns. Base layouts are pretty much determined by Radar coverage. Strat layout is pretty much based on available acreage in a relatively isolated area. Each base has a maximum of 8 spawn outs, with theoretical unlimited spawns in.

What puzzles me is those that have issues with having to fly long distances to get a fight, and yet don't like the close proximity of adjacent bases on the newer maps. This also can apply to the long range spawns, while every base does not need one, it can, selectively, increase the gv battles, imho.

Thanks for the feedback Haggerty, I appreciate it and I will try to be more attentive to this issue.  :salute

The latest bug report is that icons disappear after the planes have been flown through clouds. And somehow the rooks only own 39% of their own bases atm but have 30% nit and 9% bish. And the nits have 70% nit 54% rook and 21% bish? That doesn't seem right...

This is the first I've heard of the Icon issue.

I have confirmed the Icon issue. The Cloud Bank over Tank Town was the issue, it has been removed. The map will require reloading by Hitech. :bhead

That cloud type should be called the Devils Triangle Clouds and used strategically on maps purposely..

This is the same issue we had in ETOMA, if you recall. I should have tested it, but the cloud type was used by others and worked okay I assume. My bad.
