One counts the people that clicked on the thread, one counts the people who actually clicked on the film.
For example I clicked on the thread and didn't have time to watch it and close my web browser, you'll get 1 view on the thread count added and 0 added to the youtube link. The more people do this (or something similar) the more the disparity between the numbers.
Youtube count is accurate.
