given how "sport betting" is ubiquitous those days, it is a next logical step.

Or we can refuse to be desensitized and prosecute crime.

Organized crime will always try to get money and corrupt anyone to achieve it.

The hard part is to prosecute all involved.  Many will turn state's evidence to avoid long prison terms, and few will get amnesty.

I don't watch nor into sports except maybe Hockey.
effects me in no way.

Sports has turned into laughing stock IMO.

Hadn't had any interest since mid 90s. It's a joke

Justifies not bothering

Absolutely agree.

My grandfather played NFL when it was first created. Just leather or no pads. Still have pics Hammond, IN - Lions

Pay rate was $50 per game
$100 if you won.

When they started getting $10m per yr and then almost instantly out for season with “injuries” I dropped out. Its done nothing but spiral since. Hockey does not seem as bad.  But probably is.

$16 beer!!! And they pay it

In the 70s we used to get front row box seats behind dugout at Cub games for $3.50.

IMO, the American sports need to be gutted and overhauled, its beyond a joke.

Well gawawawlee Sgt. Carter, surprise, surprise, surprise.

More signs of societal decay.

And that's why individual liberty disappears and government grows.
