It's already that way.

I was watching an interview and they were saying we understand conceptually how LLMs work.  But the Frontier models have gotten so large and so complex that no human can just look inside and understand what's going on.  It's a magic black box.  You just keep piling on power, compute and context and judge by the results the black box spits out.

For all we know it is opening an interdimensional  channel to a demon universe. ;)

Probably. Mindless minions will do that sort of thing.

Was listening to, and looking up, a situation where AI repeatedly created and published articles accusing a guy of various crimes, etc., that he did not commit. It claimed he was convicted. No actual arrest record for him exists. I couldn't even find a traffic citation. AI literally tried to wreck the guy's life. There's a lawsuit now. I hope he wins, and the punitives utterly destroy the company and people involved, leaving them destitute, and killing it off.
