Toxic, psychotic, self-aggrandizing drama queens simply aren't worth me spending my time on.

Bobcat Goldthwait?

I was just joking.  Thinking of a comically bad choice for that character.

To be honest I just imagined Matt Damon again.

Same.

You know Rendezvous with Rama is in production.  That was one of my top 3-4 favorite books.

Cool!  I didn't know it.  I will look forward to that one.

Books in that sort of category that I liked:
Ringworld
Riverworld
Gateway
Eon
Titan, Wizard, Demon trilogy

Same guy as did Dune.

Ooo.  At the very least, it will look and sound great.

Some of his choices on Dune I would have done different, but I think this will be an easier adaptation.

His Dune was at least better than that Lynch abomination. ;)

I always thought Dune should have been done in rotoscope like the original LOTR. ;)

I would like to see The White Mountains, The City of Gold and Lead, and The Pool of Fire be made into films.  A great trilogy of books that rival War of the Worlds.

I would watch it just to hear his slurred incomprehensible ramblings, especially if he used his Zed character from police academy

The trailer inspired two consecutive nightmares last night, One, a piece of the Sun broke off and two, a piece of the Moon broke off. (I don't know why!)

How scary it would be if everyone had that same dream on the same night.  OR that same dream 3 nights in a row.

Ever see that old movie The Illustrated Man?  They had a story like that.

I don't normally dream in color. I know that because there have been a few times that I did and they stood out bigly. One dream several years ago I was inside my house and when I walked out everyone was looking out across the empty plain at a huge space ship hovering above the ground. I just stood there staring at it with an ominous feeling. Full Technicolor.

Only UFO I've ever seen.  ;)
