25% limit on country base capture
« on: Today at 03:38:26 PM »
If practical, I suggest the base capture limit per country be 25%.  As an example, the Rooks took 30% of the bish bases last night.  That would be limited to 25%.

When two countries join to attack one country, you can drive players out of the game.  Nothing worse to sign on AH and find you have limited battle fronts.  This is especially true if you have to fly in troops.

Not a huge problem but a 25% limit might help when two countries attack one country.

Im a huge fan of taking more than the required 20% to prevent that team from making a come back while you are taking the 20% from the other team.  Some maps if you take 20-25% of an enemy they are still left with a good staging point to make a come back, but if you take that one more base you extremely limit their ability to fight back against your country, either by being close to strats, or taking away their gv spawns into your bases.
If you are discouraged from fighting back on that front then thats exactly what is wanted from the winning team.

This has been discussed with Hitech, I have sent him screen shots of a countries capturing over 40% of another country. there is NEVER a reason for that. :furious

All 3 countries have been guilty of this. No one is innocent.

Not sure this classifies as something that assigns guilt. That implies wrongdoing and in my opinion I don’t see the issue.
Back in 2022 after a loooooong break from 2010. Old name Ratpack, same for the BBS.

Squad I did the most tours with were the Excaliburs then The 172nd Rabid Dogs. Still trying to talk Illigaf, Coola, Oldman22, and Joecrow into coming back instead of being boring old farts!

I am mad.... but as soon as I get home... I'll fix some frozen margaritas. I'll be OK.

Years a go I told a woman on a plane that she was ugly. She told me I was drunk. I looked her in the eye and said, "yes, but I'll be sober in the morning".

I've been saying this for 1-2 yrs. It only becomes relevant when one is on the receiving end. Most often it's Knits getting clubbed.
We're asking the players to police themselves....<blank stare>.

I've watched 12 knits up and drop stick and leave. We have sqds that will milk-run bases on their sqd nights. They only stop when taking a cpl bases on the opposing side wins the map.

This si where the game breaks down under critical mass of 110-120. Settings weren't planned for under CM.
