Cut up an eye of round into stew meat. Cut up some potatoes, carrots, threw in some peas.... my blend of spices and a can of tomato sauce. Delicious stew for a couple of days.
This coming weekend, I'll be making a gumbo. Cool weather demands it.

Thinking at some point soon, I'll make red beans and rice, jambalaya, and cornbread.

Not sure what I'm cooking over the holidays. Almost always smoked prime rib. Everyone else made awful powder dry turkey, and stringy ham for Thanksgiving, so I may be forced to cook for Christmas just to prevent my taste buds and innards from being terribly insulted again.

Going to Indy next week, the wife loves to hit restaurants up there, St. Elmo's for sure. Probably a German place, maybe an Italian place as well. No fast food though.

Spatchcocked, injected, and smoked a smaller bird for Thanksgiving.  It was awesome.

I like rump tails for stewing. Get 2 pounds of rumptail, cut it into 1 inch cubes, roll them in little flour. Chuck them into a slow cooker with veges (carrots, celery, vine tomatos, onion) and a sauce and slow cook for 8 hours. At the end make some traditional english dumplings on top. Best for cold winters.

Also my son does an 8 hour slow cooked beef rack recipe that is killer.
