Death of an Arado (431kb)
« on: April 15, 2001, 04:03:00 AM »
The 56th FG has now downed 5 of the elusive Arado jet bombers.  Here's a view of one being downed recently.  Our pilot managed to destroy the Arado and avoid AAA fire from the enemy airfield where the Arado was attempting to set down.

S!

I have downed 3 of them.1 with 190D-9(dove on it),1 with 109G-6(catched during landing) and most recent with 109G-2(hit it and prevented from escaping, ran out of fuel).Very tricky plane to get,but the feeling U get after downing one is packed with adrenaline.

I don't have a screenshot, but I killed an Arado with a C205 while he was enroute to his target. :-)

Rather historical looking pic, Sancho, P-47 hitting a LW plane as it was landing

Wonder what that would look like with a Photoshop treatment, going for a black & white grainy/war film look?

Cheers
