So, do I understand you to say that all who fly f4U-1c's are "quakers"?
Do you not contradict your own argument?
I'm admittedly a dweeb. May as well be, because no matter what you fly, eventually you will be categorized as one. Let's see now, I've been a spit dweeb (WB), a p-38 dweeb (WB), a 190 dweeb (WB), an f6 dweeb (WB) and now I am a quaker (AH)!
Good grief.
umm Apache I think you are taking personally something that it isnt.
We all know that the plane-o-dweebs is Cannonhawg, along with Spit. Why? sheer firepower. Good low speed handling. Good views.
I DID fly Cannonhawg when I was a newbie. In fact when I first met JG2 guys in a squad night, (I still wasnt on JG2), I respawned in a F4U when i was downed. (Swager do you remember it?)

So it is fair to call F4U a dweeb plane...but I am sure that Santa wasnt calling all F4U drivers QUAKERS. There is a big proportion of quaker-flyinh-type of guys flyng Cannonhawg...and there are also top-shop hotsticks on it (Pongo, COmanche and you, Indian...not to name Torque).
I dont understand Santa's post as a generalization. I think he only tried to make clear that with the current firepower, F4U1-C is a very common choice for the newbies (and I think we all agree on that).
BTW Santa...Laudrup was 6 years in FC Barcelona. It was class incarnated in a football player.
But we now have FIgo
