Knights are dogs.

Junk yard dogs that is. Why? They fight like 'em.

Sheesh, they never quit! Keep coming at ya. Above you, below you, your left, your right.

Watch out! P38 at 20k dives! Nose down to evade.

Crap! F6f coming up from low 4 o'clock. Must be Mathman so I better watch my arse. Hard roll right. Nose still down. Pickin' up speed now. 400 mph true.

Hellcat is clear of my 6. Good. Back level flight, quick scan.

Oh good grief. Where did that La5 come from?! Got to be either an AK or one of the Rats. Should be able to extend from him. Yep. Pulling away.

You have got to be kidding me. P51d high 12 coming right at me and he's got a buddy in trail, another P38. Time to get this P51b down and fast.

Head to the deck. P38 pulls up at about 5k but the P51 keeps coming.

Must really want me. Roll left, nose up a little and chop throttle. Shew! he zooms past. Try a snap shot but miss.

Level off again to see where the P38 went, keeping my eye on the P51 at the same time. Good. P38 is engaged with a friendly who is a good stick, so I forget about the 38.

Hmm, P51 leaving. Looks like it anyway. Guess I made it out.

"Apache, check 6!" Well would ya look at that? 2 109's and a 190. Yep. I get the message. Time to get this green thing to da house.

Been like this for the past week or so. Sortie after sortie. Heck, the above was just the last minute & a half before I got too low on fuel, lol. Man, what fun!  :)

Thanks rip & blitz.

I really enjoyed my time with you guys but to be honest, it sure is better being on the correct end of a Drex piloted P47.  :D

Yah, Drex is a rare breed, not only the best flyer in AH, but very modest to boot, ya can't find that in many sims with its top pilots...now, if Laz would just book a hotel room for him and Drex, it would stop making the idol worship Laz has for Drex valid... ;)

Only met Drex once in the air.

me and an unknown newbie were trying to get up to him ant Zig. Drex was in a Tempest and Zig in some other plane.

Newbie gets shot down, i get on Drex's six.

Tempests climbs...and climbs..and climbs. My g2 is going slow when Zig drops in. I break.

Naturally the tempest has now reversed. One minute later they've drained all my e and I'm dead.

Heh was fun though; taught me to respect the tempest.

Santa,

Well you just reminded me of something.  I was suppose to send you that film.  Will go through my files and try to find it.  Should only be about a year to get.

drex who?  didn't he used to be involved in flight sims in some way?

apache.. I agree.   the knits are a blast.  If we see a couple of large bars and one is by the ah, "timid" bish base and one is by the manly knits... we will go toward the knits every time.   thos huge furious furs are what it's all about for some of us.

How many times have we gone to the bish and had to leave cause what looked like a fite on dar was just p51's or GV?

Lazs,

Well I should be back in the air soon.  Just got my DSL hooked up at my new house.  Should be unpacking my flight gear next week. Hope you have been practicing your dragging skills.

Thanks Apache!  We Knitz appreciate the comments!  You're right, watching Mathman in a F6F is a sight to behold!  I wouldn't be surprised if that P38 was daddog, but I don't know if he gets it up that high.   ;)

Hmm, this tour I've been very equal in killing Bish-Rooks, 21 bish, 22 rook;  yeah yeah, my kills per time online is low, I suck.  :o  16 deaths to Bish and 12 to Rook, so at least I'm dying less this tour!

Errrr what ever happened to those P47 training sessions we we're gonna have Drex, lol.

 xBAT

P.S. Yea, back to 47... it FITS better than the 38 it seems and I have no idea why.
Of course, I only see what he posts here and what he does in the MA.  I know virtually nothing about the man.  I think its important for people to realize that we don't really know squat about each other.... definately not enough to use words like "hate".

Hehe, hopefully soon.  My family just moved to a new house, and my wife packed the computer and my flight gear to be unpacked last.  She is a mean one, but smart.  Hopefully will be back up early next week.  Will get a hold of you then, bud

Mathman, who is squadron mate of mine, is a sight to see in ANY airplane.  You guys should just be glad he got bored with the 190-D9 in just 3/4 of a TOD and the Yak9 in one TOD.  At least the F6F has some shortcomings.  ;)

Here's a lil story.

Drex was winging with us one night, some how we ended up in YAKs, so I'm behind Drex in a loose duece formation, we're all on RW, and someone sez's sumthin about what they'd really like...and I say "What I'd really like is to shoot down Drex!" then I fire a couple rounds over his canopy...WHAM! IT'S ON!

He does a roll out and I follow, we're zoomin' and turnin' and before I know it, he's forced me to overshoot and is "saddled up" on my six.

Man, I try everything...full flaps, stalling climbs, rudder overs, even dropped gear to "dirty up" my airframe! I can't shake him, he 's matched every move and had firing position the whole time.

Dunno how he does it, but he's prolly the best stick in the game.

And your absolutely correct, he nevers brags, or talks trash, he lets his flying do that for him!

Salute Drex always a pleasure to see ya, hurry home.
