Hehe, you know why the N1K now rates low?

Two-fold, rookies use them and when an enemy sees one, the conversation on RW goes like this: "N1K, Witch Witch, BURN IT!"

  Frenchy!

I just do better in the 25 for some reason.  I chalk it up to the green paint that sometimes lets me escape running low against the green landscape.

The other thing is that lots of folks fly the D30 for A2G stuff.  Most times I doubt people actually hit that Attack button, and it skews the D30's stats noticeably.

Hehehe.. take Hanzo and Drex out of the equation and the P-47-D25 is 1.39:1.

Drex accounts for over 25% of the D25 kills.

he's a dweeb

HEHEHEH I agree with frenchy

however... i dont think there is any real difference other than dive flaps.   (Yes for those of u who remember me saying something to the contrary, i have changed my mind)

for some reason i do better in the d30 though.

The cool thing about a p47 or similar plane,
is that it force you to fly smart, evaluate
the situation and pick your fights.
Though I'm sure some pilots can dogfight in
it, i prefer not to.
I usually fly a lot of different planes, and
get roughly 1-1.5 score. This tour however
I've only flown the typhoon, and guess what,
because it also force u to think, I suddenly
got a 1-6 in my favour. The few times I've
flown the p47 i usually do 1-3.

whohoo I could troll some P47 pilots there

I'm proud of myself <gnacgnac>.

D25 is lighter for sure, probably a bit more manoeuverable. It's dark too, makes it harder to track when dogfighting low and especially when darkness starts.

But it's sure still not a girly plane.

I think in the P47 population, without really knowing why, you prefer one or the other. I always fly the D30 and I start to scream for help to Ammo when he forces me to fly the D25. It's probably habit, superstition and fetishism. Dive flaps, I don't really care, maybe the square gunseight, maybe the manifold pressure who's higher... who knows.

One thing is sure, when you fly the P47, u need to think ahead, and more over if you need to disengage. No point nose down and run, no I outturn you anyway.

The p47 is awsome as a trainer, when I fly other planes like P38s, P51s, yaks, LAs ...wohooo they feel so light!!! You have the feeling you can do anything. The other day I couldn't hit with a P38 in a turnfight, the nose was too sensitive for me. I'm not even talking about fighting in a niki/spit, it's "point and click" compared to P47 (no insult there, just a comparaison).

Anyway, maybe if the D25 would had been with Gabresky's camo, I would had cherish the D25 instead of the D30
