Would you like to see a WW2 movie about RAF pilots, with quite a bit of aviation footage and bunch of Spitfires and Messerschmitts?
Well, it's now playing in USA; not too many copies yet I believe, but still do check if you can find one playing in your area...

Have you come across a list of where it's playing?  Been drooling over its trailer for what seems forever now.

Try http://www.moviefone.com ; but good luck, because AFAIK there are only 90 copies playing in the U.S. now.

It's showing in the larger cities though...  Definitely in Seattle, New York and L.A., and reportedly in Dallas since February...  But you'll have to search for it yourself.

The only way to get more copies is go see it a LOT - and brigning family and friends

I saw it when it was playing here in NYC about 2 weeks ago, it was playing in foreign/independent type theater but was only there for a short time, perhaps a week.

Insofar as the movie goes, it was pretty good. The aeronautical cinematography was very well done and looked very realistic. But it was mostly based around a love story much less about the Czechs and how they became part of the RAF. Thankfully, the love story wasn't too hoaky and didn't seem to overwhelm the war part of the movie a la Pearl Harbor.

Excellent move.

Yeah, but unlike pearl harbor, at least the romance here has boobies.

Well, that depends on who made it. Can I safely assume this was made by Americans (God bless 'em) for Americans? By RAF pilots, do you mean the ones who filled nearly alll the slots in the Battle of Britain while a few minor players like Douglas Bader, Johnny Johnson etc. watched in humble admiration?
If so, you'll understand if I politely decline. :o

It's done by Czechs (director Jan Sverak) for (mainly) Czechs.

Financed by German, Italian and British companies I believe.

If I count well they get total of three or four kills in the whole movie; 3 or 4 of them get shot down.

So don't worry, it's NOT a Hollywood picture :)

If you bothered to check out any of the links above, you would already know that, anyway

Tjay,

It's an all Czech production, not American.

I can't say what the film's like in it's entirety, but I do urge you to download the trailer, the arial action is incredible! It's been on my hard drive for over six months, and I've been wanting to see this even more than Lord of the Rings! :)
