Why are we getting our new screenshots via Dogfighter?
Last screenshots in HTC's site are from 1.05, just before christmas.

New screenshots are used as free advertising for AH. And in return, AH players go to those sites instead of here to see them, increasing THEIR traffic.

I don't have a problem with that at all.

Anyway, from when HT was chatting several weeks ago in the MA, I get the impression there are a LOT more than two new planes and the LVTs in the next version. So don't worry if your favorite hasn't turned up.

And Frenchy & Bunch must be in 7th heaven

That little I know of Ki61 Hien is that it was succesfully used to engagge B29's and was a joy to fly.Engine was either DB601 or DB605,license made.Armament was something like 2 x 20mm(wings) and 2 x 13mm(cowling).About the P47C..Wasn't it less performing than the D?Poorer climb etc?Another target though

Its a P-47D-11, not a P-47C. Performance wise, does it really matter? It will sit in the hanger unused, the better P-47s we already have hardly get used.

I am disappointed to see that we are getting a Ki61-I. It too will be a hanger queen. A Ki61-IIb would have been much more competitive and usable in the current MA environment.

Still, more aircraft are good and the Ki61 is a great looking model, great work Superfly. I am looking forward to seeing what else is planned for 1.07. We have the water performance code from the PT Boat, so I am hoping to get the H8K2 "Emily" in 1.07.

I don't want to argue with you, but I will point out a few things.

1. The Spitfire MkXIV has been my prefered kite for nearly a decade, therefore it is quite reasonable for me to ask for it to be added to AH.

2. The 2 P-47s that we already have hardly get used, how is adding another, weaker P-47 going to increase the likelyhood of someone other that one of the few diehard P-47 buffs using it? If I am doing ground attack I grab a P-38L, P-47D-30 or Typhoon. I, like most people, will not replace the P-47D-30 in that list with a P-47D-11. Hell, most people just fly the F4U-1C for ground attack.

3. AH currently has a large imbalance towards American and German aircraft. Can you fault me for being disappointed when I see an American hanger queen has been added in preference over the needed Japanese, Russian, Italian and British aircraft? When I say needed I mean core aircraft like the Il2-M3, Yak-3, Hurricane MkII, Pe-2, Mosquito MkVI, Ki84, Tu-2 and Ki67. Instead we get yet another American aircraft.

So far 1.07 has 3 American units and 1 Japanese, further imbalancing the unit set towards American stuff.

Yes, I am disappointed and my $30.00 per month gives me the right to be disappointed and to express that disappointment (as well as a note of hope, in case you didn't notice). I'm sure as hell am not going to cancel my account over it though.

Karnak lets not get too excited yet, I was a little dissapointed not to see a Mossie but perhaps it may still be in the list who knows. I don't really see any American bias shown..and thats coming from a Brit

Remember last release was quite LW heavy so perhaps this is redressing the balance a little. Its great to see another Japanese plane in the planeset, perhaps we'll see a Japanese bomber too soon.

Yes a Hurricane and Mosquito would be greatly welcomed, especially as it would give more dimension for scenarios but lets be grateful for what we have already.

As for the P-47 Razorback being weaker..well..it depends on whether it gets paddle bladed prop and water injection.
Even if it doesnt, it will only really suffer in climb and a little topspeed...but it will handle better. (both more stable and is lighter as well).
Also, the Razorback was the workhorse of the 8th AF...it was pretty much that plane (and variants) that broke the back of the LW in the ETO. There was probably more Razorbacks produced than P-51s!

True about the planes we haven't even seen yet.Well..The P47 ain't that bad plane IMO.I started AH flying it before I got invited to a squad.It is fast,robust,packs a puch and offers good visibility.I don't think the new Razorback will be a hanger queen.

About getting more LW/USAF planes.Well...We all want something.But why not having an arena for PTO/ETO then?If we get more late war monsters/UFO Tech's,then the MA is very boring for those who fly mid-war planes.And would considerably lessen the C-Hog whine,if it was placed to PTO arena only, with Niki The UFO and maybe the new Japanese planes.Russian planes are too few IMO.Give us Pe2(fast recon/bomber),IL-2,LAgG3,Yak1B,DB3(bomber),SB2(bomber),even the I16/I153!Even P39Q/N could be added to Russians,since they were using it with great success at the eastern front.
Oh well..can't get it all,but I think HTC is doing pretty good job by providing us new planes in a pretty fast pace.
