Can you guys please turn the acks down a bit?


I was slaughtered in an il2 (hit about 50 times!) as i ran the ack a10 (15 minutes flying wasted)

was then killed in a hurricane from over 2k away! took my tail of first hit (another 15 minutes wasted)

took  a panzer to A10 to kill ack and vh ack was only ack able to hit me as i crested a slight hill. I thought id let it hit a bit and take it out but FIRST DAMN HIT took out my main gun AND top Mg!(25 MINUTES WASTED)

by this time i had no interest in flying jabos or panzers and just furballed.THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANT FROM THE CT :)

I think AI ack should be reduced to mg ONLY with several manned acks of 20-40mm.
As it is ive given up on the jabos. :(

Ack is not turned up.   There is  a lot of it over the big towns, so you need to be aware of that.  Coming in at lower levels works.

buzzbait please mate 'coming in at lower levels' is patronising to say the least.

Ive flown AH for 2 years, I know how to avoid ack and what its usually capable of doing.

What I saw last night was totally frustrating and i soon logged out of CT and im pretty much a die hard CT.

If it isnt a lethality issue then is it a map design issue?

have all the acks been set to a high calibre cannon?

whatever the reason the LETHALITY should be looked into before people stop trying to attack bases or towns.

this usually wouldnt be a problem in MA as you would have the numbers to attack bases with a larger force but in CT sometimes its a single il2 or hurricane or a pair if you are lucky enough to have more than a few people on your country.I know its annoying but I really feel (whether map/lethality issue) it is a bit fierce as it is now.

try a lone jabo to say A10 for yourself and see what you think.(then try a D base, much more fun :))

Getting ready for work can't talk long now.

Hazed, how about more  ground-gunner positions?.. I took out alot of 88 battieries already. It's still pretty thick.

W.Germany is even more dangerous. To hit Berlin you have to fly over N. Sea then head south. If you try to go straight there... Heavy ack-ack over Hamburg, Hanover, Kiel, .... and thats just the light stuff -grins-..... Berlin is almost impossable to test -grins-

Both these maps are designed to be used for events. I invision 30 or 40 bombers over Berlin.. expect 2% to be hit by ground fire.. That's fairly realistic.

My issue is CTD which is what happens if you try to cram too much into a small area. If I remove acks... It'll be for that reason.

youre right about it working for events but CT isnt an event.

It a lot more 24/7 and so  you have to attract the players who might just want to do 1 or 2 flights.Im all for a truelly realistic flak and ack when im in a large organised attack but i dont want the same thing to happen when im the only one attacking or have 3 or 4 friendlies helping.

I was on the other night capturing fields and cities, mostly in a panzer and the ack would just bounce off the hull.  Not sure what your talkin 'bout there hazed.

I agree with crash...

Ack sites are very easy to disable with a Panzer. Btw, this is the first time I see Ground vehicles being useful for what they are intended: kill ground targets.

I think Ack is tough, but with a mixed assault, it can be quickly disabled. If I were to change anything, I would make GV's (especially tanks) harder to kill from ack fire.

All in all, this is the best CT I've ever seen. WTG to CT team!
