P47, P51D slots open
« on: January 19, 2002, 04:45:24 PM »
348th FG "Kearby`s Thunderbolts" currently has openings for both Jug and Mustang drivers.  Although this squad is predominantly Jugs, the 348th did receive P51's in 1945.  So, we are opening a limited number of slots to P51D drivers.

For our purposes the Mustangs will be used for fighter cover for our Jugs.  I am looking for an experienced Mustang driver to head up the flight, and this person must be willing to train future P51 drivers invited to the squad.

If anyone is interested, either for Jug or Mustang driving with the 348th, contact myself or Vector, the XO, via private message, this forum, or email.

and good flying.

Just another punt adding that Kronos is a great guy to fly with, if your not in a squad and 'fence sitting' on whether to join one, I highly suggest this one!

Info all, the 348th FG is mostly flying in the CT arena lately.  So if you are looking for membership, try the CT arena first.  Also, that being said, anyone who enjoys the CT as much as we do, is welcome to come fly in a "quasi-historical" environment, with a "quasi-historical" squadron.   :D   (quasi-historical, i think was HTC's first terms for the CT arena.)

All pilots are welcome, from beginners to vets.   (Ah heck, we'd almost even allow Saw in there.)  (But we're not THAT desperate.)   :D

all, and good flying.

btw ty Rip :)
