My first impressions...

on 1.06

1-Noone has said this, but...the six call thing is WONDERFUL. fast, easy and intuitive to use.

2-Dora-9. What am I going to say....its my kitty, my loved plane . Very fast on the deck but not the fastest, havent still tested it but I have the feeling that it may be a bit slow at altitude. we'll see

3-Ta152H1. big surprise. I tangled with a couple of co-E P51s between 20-25K, alone, and I was able to outmaneouver both. The problem was the "follow the leader" chase on the deck when I started being surrounded by bad boys   IMO is a better plane than the Dora...quite a big shock.

4-Yak9T. Collected the 50 perkies for the Ta with this kite, in less than 90 minutes of furballs . That 37mm is going to cause many many kills

5-P51B. Still havent tested it, only have fought it. Seems more nimble than the D version.

6-La7. The new Chog  . Its everywhere, a true deadly plane. Havent flown it but I have had to fight it a lot, with me dying the most (man I'm rusty <G> ).

7-Tempest, seen a couple of them, but I have neither fought or flown one.

8-Ar234. See avobe.

9-gun firing effects: NICE, add a LOT of immersion. This morning I was tangling with a P51D and in a snapshot, with the plane shuddering, It seemed a gun camera shot

10-Hispeed buffeting. Great, see avobe...really makes you fear the 500mph IAS dives

all in all, and pending on the speed tests on the Dora and the Ta, wich seem to be slower at hi altitude, I love the new version

Glad you're back RAM (if you left, I don't really track that).

That Fw190D-9 is so very nice.

And it seems to have MW50.

And it isn't a perk.

It does seem a little slow at altitude though.

La-7 the new chog? Come on! It doesn't have the infinite ammo of the aforementioned plane or the endurance. You can hit bollocks all after about 600 yrds.

More fights seem to be at high altitude (20k), where the la7 is poor in all areas.
War! Never been so much fun. War! Never been so much fun! Go to your brother, Kill him with your gun, Leave him lying in his uniform, Dying in the sun.

Yup, La7 is good, but not that good. I took it up in the great furball of the south last night (40+ planes on the deck I kid you not!) and it is no furball killer. The good La pilots have something fun to play with, but the average joe won't stay in it long.

Just my opinion.
