Guys, in the CT arena poll thread, you two volunteered to beta test terrains that the community makes. If you're really serious about this, I'd like to take you up on your offer. We are in need of a small team of beta terrain testers who are detail oriented, and who are willing to make a long-term commitment to helping the CM terrain team find bugs in the terrains we make. HTC already has some form of bug-catching in the new TE, but it does have holes.

You guys wouldn't have to join the scenario Corps to be part of this team, but if you wanted to, I'd be glad to ask Pyro for permission to add you.

The only reservation I'd have is if you would lose interest after a short while. Let's face it, beta testing terrain is about as interesting as BB stacking, so I just want to be sure that you guys were really serious about doing something like this for the long haul.

If you're still interested, please let me know.

Thanks!

I can't PM you and you do not have an email in your profile to use so I have to say answer here with "yes!  I'm definately wanting to help."  :)

That's not necesarry imo.  I could help test terrains H2H or offline.  I want to assist and help find bugs but, to be completely honest, if it turns into a "job" then it'll be a quick trip to burn-outville. Been there, done that (elsewhere).    I have to balance being able to help out with the greater, more selfish "need," to enjoy.

banana,
I'm not familiar at all with the terrain editor or the de-bugger within it, my volunteer testing would basically be just checking spawn points, and whatever user-end anomolies that pop up.  Is this what the job requires?

I don't wish to be part of the CM team (I'm sure this makes Pyro happy ;) )  but I am willing to donate some time checking the terrains.

Oh, and Swoop just emailed me, and said he would like to be part of the terrain beta testing team too.  Neither of us have your email, and your PM is turned off. :)

I think Private messaging is off for everyone at the moment. For now, send me an email at home: dahlen@charter.net  and I'll put you guys in touch with Sundog, who will need to work all this out with you.

Thanks guys!
