i would like to see a feature added where you could type a dot command and break a piece of your plane inflight or before you fly. this would make practicing emergency landings easier then flying around till the acks shot the right piece off.

does anyone remember su27 flanker? i have a mode where you could designate what was to fail at what time. this made it easy to practice emergency landings with the auto pilot and hud failure. it was great fun to see exactly how much dmg your plane could have and still make it safely down.

I was thinking of this the other night.

Although I get plenty of practice landing crippled planes, it would add an element of intrigue into the game to have random aircraft failures in flight.

Gun's jamming, Flaps getting stuck, etc. I would not want to control this myself, but instead have problems crop up at random, with relatively low frequency.

And if you really want to go off the deep end, let's institute a spy network into the game where a player can be a saboteur!

Saboteurs could be sent into enemy bases by goons or subamrines and plant explosives in enemy planes, cut fuel lines....set fires..

Yeah! FIRE! FIRE FIRE!!

Sorry...Beavis and butthead flashback.

Seriously though, I doubt this would ever happen. I think it would have too much of a negative impact on the "Furballers" who simply want to get up and fight.

HTC..Lets Have Saboteurs in AH!!!!!:D

Oh, and a B-29, please!

It's not too much to ask. I saw a guy asking for AMRAAMS!

i dont want to see a random equipment failure online (althought that would be nice) but i want a funtion to be able to control what parts of my plane are broken offline. this could be used to simulate landing with just broken gears, or just a broken wing, or maybe just a pilot wound or a combination. that way you dont have to wait till you have that exact combination happen to you before you can paractice what you will have to do.

This is a great idea, Master.  I'd love to see HTC implement it.

I think HTC should merge this with the profanity filter and add a whine filter in there too.  Then, any time you felt the need to blurt out some profanity or a start crying on the open channel, a random piece of your aircraft would fall off.  Then, you'd try to whine about that, and another piece would fall off.  Imagine the possibilities!  :D

lol SOB that would clear up alot of chatter over the common channel :)

well i searched and searched for my flanker 1.2 windows cd but only came up with 1.1 dos version :( i cant even load it up and i think that the manual dammage function was a windows 95 version only thing.

if anyone has the windows 95 su27 flanker cd couldyou boot it up and get a screen shot of themanual dammage dialog box showing what all can be done with that option?

I suggested this a little while ago, but it didn't generate much interest:

Sure beats having someone try to knock of the right piece of your A/C  in the TA in order to test something...good suggestion!
