Combat Theater - 'Well Done HTC..."

In the seven odd years that I've been flying online I've seen a lot of Historic Arenas.  This one is the best.  You've used existing
tools to create a Work-of-Art.  The weather and terrain create a 'feel' of war on the Easter Front in 1942 that is chilling.  Flying across the endless Russian Steppes creates a sence of foreboding that almost makes you want to turn around and head back to a warm fire.  This is immersion at it's best.

I'm sorry more people don't take part but I'll never tell anyone how to 'spend their dime.'   I never have.  But I do want to say
'Thanks' to HTC on a job well done.   I think I'm speaking for all the people who have flown there.

(Now, if we could just get some T-34's, a few Stuka's, some towed AT guns,  ect, ect)

I'll never say it enough...

Well done HTC! WTG CT Team!
Special double WTG to 10Bears who designed the Stalingrad map.

I'm sure they'll do other stunning setups for Western Europe and Pacific.

Not much doing on our part just yet.  The current setup uses 10Bears terrain and Buzzbait's setup.  There's not a whole lot to work with yet, but I think the CT team is doing a good job of putting together good setups only using what they have to work with for now.

Well said otto!

I am loving the CT as well, longer flights and fewer plyers be damned!

Buzz has worked hard on his setup, as has Sabre on his upcoming PAC setup. Hopefully we can get over the attendance hump before too long. :)
Thanks 10bears for the terrain.

Thx for all the kind words fellas :)

Was able to work on map a few hours the other night. Here’s a list.

Moved A48 vh pad up the hill closer to the action.
Took out V9 replaced it was regular vh base..
Cleaned up building layout V9 area
Moved batteries up to higher ground.. there’s one for A10, A48 and 2 for V9.
Added base numbers to CB map (14 font)

Added another Airbase near A14. (was needed)
Added vh spawn from A1 to A14
Added Vh spawn from A50 to A14
will think of a few more.  some boat spawns...

Missing shape saga..

Renamed  port objects to void - nojoy
Removed all port objects added barges - nojoy
Added port objects double triple checked barge routes/ barges’s  - nojoy
Again, took out all barges and lines - nojoy
Took out all port objects/ all barges - nojoy

Looks like I’m going to need a second or third pair of eyes to find this bug.. If unable to find by tomorrow, will send it to Ronnie and Pyro with a detailed list. The barge traffic is cool.

BTW Nuttz did some of the art.

If my lips are puckered and brown so be it!  Great job guys!  10Bears...Great Map bud!  (Didn't know you made it until I read it here...sorry about the V-9 Map Room Complaint..couldn't find it to save my life...hehehe.....Buzzbait... .Great scenerio!  My hat is off to these guys.  They took a great flight sim...used the same things available to Pyro and the guys, and made it 2 steps better.  I was about to quit AH due to boredum but I'm definately sticking with it now.  Good luck to ya and see in the friendly skies!

S!

Thanks all for comments.

Kudos to 10 Bears for his map.   It has some bugs and problems but the overall concept is an excellent one.  When we bring it back it will be better.

The CT is still in its infancy and has a lot of growing to do.

We`re hoping to provide people with even better experiences.   It won`t be the real thing, but maybe will give people a taste.  :)
