Just my plea for a JU87 with ordanace or variations for the early and mid / late war D/G models..........

If we are going for a BOB set then the Ju87 is an essential 1st phase AC.........

further no Eastern Front scenario is complete without the Ju87...... although the SG's were trying to convert to FW190 F's in mid 44 half of them were still equipped with Ju87 D5's and G models.

It will also allow an "Invasion of France Scenario"......

Ju87 means Battle of France, Battle of Britain, North Africa and Russia. The whole 1940-42 phase of the war. During Warbirds scenarios it was used a lot and it was very fun (provided you had 109 high cover, that is :)).

One question on the future of buffs.....

We've all heard the rumour of the coming "AI squadron of buffs" concept; but so far every one's focused on formations of heavies.

Ju 87, Ju 88, IL-2 and TBM are also buffs...

Maybe a whole squad of Ju87's screaming down on a base won't be quite the hanger queen some imagine?

Nor would an AI squad of torp carrying TBM's or even early Jap stuff either....

I forgot to mention that PYRO once said that eventually HTC will bring the Stuka to AH, .... and yes, I'd like to see little-medium AI driven torpedo/level/dive buff formations in the arena.

I would like to see Pyro bring the JU-87 to AH just so he could use the new DX8 functions and model the screaming sound in a dive. Just imagine being in a GV and hearing the howling of the Stuka coming to you. Cool!!

BTW the F4U was also known as "The Whistling Death" because of the sound made by the oil coolers in the wing roots during a dive. Hint, Hint.

S!

I agree.   We need a Stuka.

I think the best model would be the Ju87D.  Yes it is a little better performing than the B model but not enough to matter so you could still use it in BoB.  And the D would be then available for the Med. Theater, East Front etc. where it was active.

Plus the D model was the basis for the G, with its 2 37mm Gunpods.   So a G could be done relatively easily.

AirWarrior modeled the Stuka with the dive siren.....and every now and then somebody would take one up and divebomb an enemy base with it, knowing that everyone on their takeoff rolls below him could hear the SSSSSSCCCCCCCCCRRRREEEEEEEAAA AAAMMMMMMM of that stuka and there would be no escape bwahahahahhahahaha!
