newest gainward drivers worse yet lock-up fast and says nvidia dislay driver is problem starting to get discouraged no gainward tech support on weekends and since my system is porked  I have not got email back up this really sucks folks, supposed to be a high end vid card but right now just useless piece of silicon:confused:

Have you installed the via 4in1 drivers?

Do you have ACPI enabled?
Do you have irq conflicts?


Soundblaster live + via chipset motherboard has given me stability problems before. Try starting your computer without soundblaster and see if it continues to crash.

Well here is my sad story:(  gave up for now The Geforce 3 seems to have a compatibility issue with the MB 450 tyan S2507S, the problem has been seen before with other MBs but no sure fire fix is know at this time, I have email into Tyan and gainward for support but hey its sunday I mite hear something by  next month,
tried every driver I could find, set the BIOS and reset and reset! Had the new 4 in 1 drivers from VIA that helped but still got locked in graphics so short of Flashing the BIOS that scares me:eek:  witch I  may have to do later depends on what tyan and gainward have to say, we shall see signed a very tired and fustrated Large Furrie woodland creature:(  thanks for the help so far any other suggestions?
