Awesome post. One of my all-time favorites, would be a great plane to add to this game despite it's reputation as a night fighter which is often hailed as an excuse to not add it. I think the real problem is more likely 'coading' the onboard radar for the game in alot of the later models.
God the preflight checklist for these planes always amazes me, if we had to go through all that in game we'd never get off the ground.

Love the narrator's little comment at the end there, "She's that kind of plane."   :D

The terminology used during the war years is humorous.   When they are talking about start procedures the narrator mentions the "putt putt" which is what they called the gasoline auxiliary generator used for ground/start power.

In the pilot manual for the B-24 in the section of engine power loss on takeoff under the "2 engines out" section it starts with "This shouldn't happen to a dog".

It was a different time then.
