cable modem connection problem...please see inside

i can get on with my phone connection just fine, but when i try to connect with my cable modem it just doesn't work.

i can connect to hth, in cable mode, but that seems to kick me a little too often


three things my provider asked me to ask was this.

can i have the ip address  for the ma so that they may ping you

are thier any special settings for lan vs phone line?

if thier are more than one ip for the room, could i also have the alternate ip addy?

i joined the ma this month and was having problems connecting on the first try, it would work on the third or fourth try.

with the phone modem it works every time, but i suffer from slight lag[which could be me or the other plane in question.]

if you could do this for me so that i may get this straightened out with the cable modem company i woould highly appreciate it.

Go get http://www.pingplotter.com and trace tpl.hitechcreations.com, that's the address for the main arena.

Run some traces with PingPlotter, then use the edit menu to copy the result as an image.  Paste it into MS paint and save the file, then attach it to a post here so we can have a look at it and see where the problem may be.

ok i tried that and nothing.

if you would, please let me know if those numbers on my last post are good or bad...i'm no computer genuis...i'm just a damn roofer.

i don't want to sound desperate but i am hooked on ma and i want in BAD! [with cable anyway]
