Solve spiky gameport problems easy

It seems some folks are having good success with a $16 Gameport to USB adapter from Radio Shack.  If you are running your controllers through a gameport and they are a bit spikey, you might want to give this a shot.

Been using the one from Rockfire for a few years now and it's worked great.  Fully compatible with my CH analog gear and still lets me program my Pro Throttle.

A dedicated game card such as the CH Gamecard 3 Automatic or the Thrustmaster ACM can also help cut down on spikes by letting you adjust the speed of the game port but you will see better perfomance with the game port to USB adaptor.

In either case, dedicated game card or game port to USB adaptor, both will go a long way in giving better joystick control and responce.

I'm seriously looking for this but Radio  shack doesn't sell abroad & neither could I find the Rockfire model anywhere here either.

Does anyone have an address where I can get it, thx

Rockfire.  This should be the correct link for the Rockfire site.  I'm almost positive that you can order online from Radio Shack and have them ship it overseas.  There are a few AW refugees from your side of the world that are using the Radio Shack adaptor as well as the Rockfire.

$88 seems a bit rich..

Good thing I checked elsewhere. Here, it's $22.

BTW... to use this with an F16 FLCS on a PS2 mainboard, I'll also need:

Mini Din 6 male to Din 5 Female to adapt the stick to the mainboard
Mini Din 6 Female to Din 5 male to adapt the keyboard to the stick

Right?
