Everybody:  I'm going to be there for the Saturday show.  I'll keep this thread punted up.  We'll come up with a place and time to meet, something like "10 am at the Sherman tank" or the B-17 or something obvious.

Rap - Hiya bud, I already visited that site.  :)
Hammer - We'll have to do that.  :)

Hey Guys!

I live down here in SoCal too. Been there the past few years and it is AWESOME! Very worthwhile to travel to. I may even be able to convince a few squaddies (418 Hornets) to come down!:D  Anways, if any of you guys are meeting up there, let me know!

P.S. - If any out-of-towners need help setting up lodging , getting directions, or just have a general question, feel free to ask. I'll help out any way I can.

Regards,

Mike (firemn)

Yes yes chino museum is a must see. If you live near it or find yourself in the area check it out. You can also buy rides in planes such as p51d p38 b25 t6texan etc etc.

I just flew a Texan in Florida. It was a free bonus ride for the graduates of Tom Reilly's Warbirds Restoration School (in addition to a ride in "Panchito", a B25J Mitchell). Their normal charge is around $300/hour, or $450/hour for the full aerobatic schtick.

They had some P-51 there as well, I don't know an exact price, but I think it is  around $600-700/hour.

According to Tom Reilly, an hour of flight for the B25J is $750. It is the owner cost, not the rental fee.

I would strongly recommend a Texan flight. This plane is wonderful to fly.
