Spitfire Wallpaper
« on: February 03, 2001, 03:42:00 PM »
Hi all,

I had a wallpaper on my system that I captured from a post here on the AH bbs some time ago. My son, the "internet web site expert", accidentally trashed it when he tried to capture another image today.

I am REALLY hoping someone has the original image or a wallpaper of the same one. It was a Spit Mk9 left profile in a slight left bank with the canopy open so you could see the pilot who had a period helmet and oxy mask.

I have done several searches of the AH archives and can't find it any more. Can anyone help???

BTW did I mention that my son is in very DEEP doo doo right now????

Hi Mav,
I know exactly the one you mean. (Flying over rocky terrain, - Squad markings FU P  TB863) I have it as one of the images in my screen saver selection. I will export it & mail it to you.

Hey all,

Just had a closer look at it I don't think it's the one Mav is asking for (Pilot has no oxygen mask).

But Anyway Here it is (114k (Any smaller it loses to much definition)

Snafu,

That was the one, Thanks for posting it. I was going to put it up on my web site but it isn't done yet.
