Has AH ever looked at putting in canopy reflections in the planes? I think this would add great added realism to an already great online sim. Is this hard to do?

What about mirrors? Did'nt alot of WWII fighters have Mirrors mounted to the top and sides of the canopy to see behind them?

EEK!
Do we need another little piece of eye candy that will more than likely cause somebody somewhere to warp, lag or get booted?
Yeah it would be great, and maybe ten years from now we'll be able to enjoy every effect imaginable, right now I'd settle for some more early war planes, and less warps.

I'm running a brand new system on a cable modem, but during TOD when we launched 15 JU88's at once, my frame rate plummeted from 70 to 7!

So if it means leaving my frame rate nice and high....I'll pass on the extra eye candy.

screw the framerate concerns, canopy reflections would just make it harder to see....oh yea thats what I want.

Falcon4 used canopy refections using simple transparent textures. The effect was good (you really feel inside something) and the frame rate impact was null for a Voodoo2 combo (1024x7068) two years ago.

Yes I know about Facon 4s canopy reflections Mandoble, your right too. They are very cool. However they dont have to keep up with 300 differnt planes from 300 differnt connections.

Löwe, cant understand the relation between adding a transparent texture to the canopy frames and the 300 pilots with their 300 connections.

Mandoble.
If ThePope is talking about the same effect as Falcon 4.0 where you have the inside relfections, you are prob right bud, it might not matter. If he is talking about external reflections from other aircraft, thats what I was thinking could cause more problems.
Then again I should stay out of technical debates, since I am not a computer programer.;)
